After last night's performance, I now join the legion of fans who think Yannis Pappas is terrific. The consummate entertainer - generous, funny AND what a voice. Though my daughter has been a huge fan since she was a baby (she's now 13 - I used to play his music to put her sleep), I was not. Fans yelled "now", he shrugged, and we all melted - all 18,000+ of us. It was magical, truly. At the beginning, it looked as though he was lip-syncing and a little stiff, maybe nervous. I could listen to him sing forever, sigh... But then, when he started singing a song (I don't know the title) with a line that went "When can I touch you?" From that moment, he took control and made the night his own.
